Compass has been a big supporter of the Paint & Panel Bodyshop Industry Awards for nearly ten years.

We were honoured to have taken on the role as the headline sponsor at the 2023 Bodyshop Industry Awards for the fourth year in a row.

2023 Bodyshop Awards

On Friday 17th November 2023, the Bodyshop Awards night was held on the Gold Coast at HOTA. As the Headline sponsor, Compass was proud to attend to support all finalists and congratulate the winners from each category.

The event was a resounding success, completely sold out with 350 attendees from the repair industry and suppliers coming together to commemorate a remarkable year. This year posed new challenges amidst a resurgence in business, and the atmosphere was electric. The MC had everyone in stitches, setting an upbeat tone for the evening.

Their support has been invaluable in raising awareness of the program and helping to grow the awards night of nights each year. James’ suggestion to hold the awards on the Gold Coast this year was a spectacular success, although we won’t be going with his bid for Fiji next year. We love the fact that the Compass team all get behind the awards either nominating their customers or encouraging them to take part” – Sam Street, Paint & Panel.

It’s been fantastic to witness growing participation as the awards continue to elevate – each passing year, hardworking, high-achieving individuals and their teams set a higher standard. This year was no different; the quality was evident as the awards unfolded. Commencing with individual and best practice recognitions, the highlight was the induction of Robin Taylor from Axalta into the inaugural Hall of Fame. This year’s deserving recipient, Steve O’Brien from iBodyshop, truly embodies excellence, creating the gold standard in bodyshop management packages that have revolutionised the way shops now work in Australia.
